FAQ's

What’s the difference been a medical spa and a salon?
Most salons or “day spas” focus on relaxation and surface levels treatments, while medical spas adjust their focus to deeper issues with more substantial results. Medical spas can address: wrinkles, volume loss, acne, age spots, loose skin and a full array of age related skin changes.

How do I pick an injector?
Personal recommendations are always a great source! If you have a friend or family member that’s been happy with their treatments and their cosmetic injector, whether a doctor or nurse, it’s reasonable to assume that you’ll also have a great outcome.

If you know people that regularly use a cosmetic injector, start the process by simply asking about their experience and gathering information. This can be a reliable way to find a quality injector.

If it seems too good to be true then it probably is! Neuromodulators, such as Botox, and dermal filler injections vary by price according to injector experience, skillset, location and training. If injectables are priced too low, then you risk compromising the quality of your injections and results. While you want to ensure that you’re being treated fairly, you don’t want to select an injector simply based on price.

Cheaper isn’t better! There is likely a reason for below market pricing – lower quality, less experience, inadequate training or knowledge of anatomy. Don’t price shop your face as there are very serious side effects or complications with fillers and Botox that can happen. Make sure to have a “buyer beware” mindset and research the competitive market before selecting a provider.

If you are seeing a provider for the first time, don’t be afraid to ask questions about their experience and training. These types of questions are necessary and should be part of the process when choosing your injector. After all, you are entrusting this person with your face. To gain more information about their experience and knowledge, you may want to ask where they were trained, how many years they have been injecting, and how often they attend trainings and continuing education courses. Furthermore, asking for before and after photos can add credibility and give you a visual into their aesthetic eye.

How do I get rid of fine lines and wrinkles?
There are many options to pick from to improve your overall appearance. Treatment examples might include: Retinols, Microneedling, Botox, Fillers, Stem Cells, or Collagen induction. We highly recommend to schedule a consultation to discuss your specific concerns and formulate a custom plan for you.

How long do fillers last?
Majority of fillers available on the market are Hyaluronic acid based and can last 6-12 months, while other newer filler products can last 12-24 months, these include Radiesse+.

How long does Botox last?
Typically between 3-4 months

How long do PDO threads last?
PDO threads address the whole face, provide more lift and skin tightening when compared to fillers. PDO thread can last 18 months or longer.

How many microneedling treatments will I need?
3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is a great starting point. Additional sessions may be required in order to manage specific concerns or problem areas.

How does smoking effect aesthetic results?
Research has shown that the use of tobacco products increases risk for developing complications after undergoing any cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. Smoking during or after any procedure can impair skin healing due to poor oxygen supply, collagen deposits are disrupted and increases risks for infections. You may be advised to abstain from tobacco use before a skilled injector will provide any services.
